Why I coach

I’ve been coaching for many years now and am finding my love for it grows on a daily basis.

I get an enormous sense of fulfilment in helping motivated and driven individuals, just like yourself, reach and achieve their triathlon goals.

The level of commitment that I have the pleasure of observing on a daily basis is nothing short of inspiring.

I see it often because pursing and achieving an ambitious goal is no mean feat. It takes discipline and a lot of consistent work to do so.

As I mentioned in the intro video on the home page, my formative years as an athlete in the sport were somewhat turbulent, as I didn’t know how to navigate niggles, fatigue, demotivation, etc – all the usual and normal stuff I just didn’t have a clue how to deal with.

The best course of action for me was to take the reigns and start thinking for myself. Taking account of all of the variables that construct a triathlon lifestyle, and explore them one by one. Learning on the job you could say.

This process took many years and consisted of too many failures to count.

Its lead me to where I am today though, in a position to share my experience, pass on my knowledge, and provide the guidance that I didn’t have, to those who want to commit and work hard for their goals.

If that’s you, get in touch and let’s get after it together.

Why I coach

Personal Achievements

Not that it has anything to do with coaching, but what I’d like the results below to show you is that I’ve been there, I’ve done all of the same hard graft that you have (or are about to do) – I’ve just done it for longer, made more mistakes, and learned more lessons.

The medals are cool but they’re not as valuable as the experience that comes with them. It probably averages out to take 90minutes to win each of these medals. But it took 15 years to gain the experience of how to win them.

You can trust me to get you to the best possible point of preparation for your race, it’s what I love to do, and it’s what I do best.
